The scenes on the left were selected by Mark Wheeller, as he uses them regularly on courses. People often refer to his scripts as having a "devised feel". The reason for this is simple. These scripts were born out of an educational, rather than a theatrical background. Consequently these scenes encourage students to be imaginative in their presentations.

 

Mark Wheeller is one of the UK's leading playwrights, with a portfolio of award-winning works including Too Much Punch for Judy, Hard to Swallow and Butcher, Butcher Burning Bright. Many of his plays regularly tour schools and are often performed as part of school examinations. Mark has over 30 years of drama-teaching experience and is currently Executive Director of Arts at the Oasis Academy in Southampton.
