Invisible Theatre

It is the performance of a play in a non-theatrical environment, in front of an unaware audience. It might happen down the street, in a restaurant, a train station, a supermarket, etc. The audience just happens to be there, and they have no idea that they’ve become spectators and that what is taking place in that moment, is just a show.

Invisible theatre needs a thorough preparation of a scene, although it can either have the whole text written or just a mere outline. We did three different performances of this methodology from different perspectives but all of them had a strong preparation before it was carried out. Each training session started, as always , with warming up exercise to set the mood. Then we worked with improvisation techniques that helped us foresee and tackle as many people's reactions as possible.
